Auction Day!

On Saturday was a nerve wracking day as our house was going to Auction! We have a house in the Waikato and it was time to sell. Before the auction there was an open home so my family had to go out for a bit. After that it was time!! We had an awesome auctioneer called Dan Hewes and if your selling your house I suggest talking to Dan and Harcourt's team. I think Dan did a really good job at explaining our house and he put in perfect detail! Yes good news we sold! A huge thank you to our beautiful agent Trudy, our awesome auctioneer, Dan and the house owners my Nan and Aunty Kath!

Well done on a fantastic day! Thank you Harcourts!!

We love you!

Dan and us, please excuse my brothers face

Fun day with the bestie!

Today my best friend Sian came over to hang out. When she arrived we watched some videos and played on my iPod then we got changed into our togs to get ready for the beach. After we had slopped on some sunblock we headed to Tay street beach at the Mount. As soon as we go there Sian, Claire (my little sister) and I went straight for the waves. At first it was really cold but as time went by our bodies started to get more used to the temperature. We dived, played jumped, splashed and laughed. After that we decided to try and dig a humongous pool out of sand. We dug and dug but the water kept reaching us. Our walls fell but we kept persevering. Eventually we decided to just hit the waves again.

Once our stay at the beach came to an end we went to McDonalds and got an ice-cream with a flake. After our ice-cream we got a pack of chips to share.

When we got back to my Nan's house we had a nice warm shower to wash the sand away and then we went and played some games with my brothers rugby ball.

Overall I had a great day and i'm going to miss Sian tonight. She's such a great friend and fun to have a laugh with.

Heres some pics from our awesome day,

By the way, all our sunblock was worth it! None of us got sunburnt! Thanks Sian!!

Our action shot, excuse the finger :)

Probably the best photo of the day

Buddy Day!

In Room 29, we are raising awareness of child abuse. So what we did was everyone in my class got into groups of 3 or 4 and each group became the creators of a buddy. Each group had to design a buddy, give it a name, give it a story and basically treat like a real kiwi kid. I'm in a group with my friend, Sian. We have created a buddy called April Maui. April is from Hawaii and loves to hula. After we have created our buddy's we put our design on a small 3D person shaped template about 1 metre tall. After that we have to update in our buddy's diary what they did and how they feel. After all that our buddies get taken away and get given to carers. The carers then have to take the buddies where ever they go to coffee club to a work meeting, where ever. To raise the awareness these buddy will be popping up all around New Zealand and then people will start to ask question and the awareness will be getting raised. Please support buddy day as it goes to such a great cause. Together we can make a change. Just like Michael Jackson said in Man in the Mirror. GO BUDDY DAY!!

TRICK OR TREAT!

On Thursday night Sian and I went trick or treating around Ohauiti. I dressed up as a vampire and Sian went as a geeky angel, unfortunately Sian's angel wings broke so she ended up just being a geek. While we were trick or treating we saw our friend Christine on the way. Her brother and sister were with her too. We ended up trick or treating together but then after about half an hour we dropped them back at their house. Sian and I had alot of candy by then and we munched as we walked along. It started to get dark pretty quick so Sian and I walked to Sian's Aunty's place. We got there and called Sian's Dad to come and pick us up. While we were waiting we watched the X-factor. About 10 minutes of the X-factor Sian's Dad arrived and we drove home. I stayed the night and came to school with her ready for the 12 hour relay, trick or treating is heaps of fun and squeezing in some X-factor was even better. Happy Halloween!

Skink in the house!

Today my kitten, Gracie brought in a skink. I was just minding my own business when I hear my Nan say "skink!" I had to get it. I didn't want it sneaking into my bed in the middle of the night! At first I was really nervous. But then I just sucked it up and grabbed it. A gush of relief went through me as I was holding this creature in my hands. I got a couple of pictures and then let the skink go into a hedge. Safe and sound. :) Here are the pictures of this amazing creature. (I was so scared the his tail was going to fall off!)

Bonnie, the puppy

Today I got to meet my Aunties new puppy, Bonnie. Bonnie's breed is a king charles spaniel crossed with a maltese. Bonnie is 12 weeks old and super cute. Her personality is awesome and she loves everybody that she meets. Today when Bonnie came over she explored my Nan's garden with great wonder. Bonnie is so adorable and I know that it's going to be fun watching this cute puppy grow!

Claire's paua invention

On Thursday my friend from Kaka Street special school, Devon gave me the most beautiful paua shell. Some people turn these into ash trays but my sister was inventive and made it into an amazing earring holder. You see there are holes in the paua shell that are big enough to fit your earrings inside. I thought this was a genius idea and now the paua is sitting on my dressing table and I cant wait to use it! Thank-you Claire and Devon :)

A beautiful crown made of hair..

On Saturday, I did my sister's hair, in a french plait shaped as a crown. The french plait that I created spiralled around my sister, Claire's head in a snake like way. After the snake like french plait her hair went down into a normal ponytail which I then fishtail plaited. Claire liked the fishtail plait the most. I thought her crown was beautiful and I wish I could of done this style on myself. This crown like hairstyle is really amazing and pretty. This hairstyle can be worn to a party, school basically anywhere! Hope you like it!

My Sisters Hair...

On Sunday I did my little sister, Claire's hair in a french side plait. I've always wanted to do these hairstyles and i've been searching on youtube, asking friends, asking my Mum, but nothing seemed to work. Then my mind just clicked and I was able to make really cool hairstyles using a french plait! Sadly I cant do these hairstyles on myself but on other people, no problem! I think that my sister really enjoyed her hair being different as she normally would have done her hair in a ponytail. This french side plait is a really trendy look and you should try it your self! I hope you like your plait, Claire!

Fun with little Lana...

Last Thursday Mum, Claire, Casey (Claire's friend) and I had a catch up with Mums friend and her baby, Lana at the park. Lana was premature when she was born so that means she was born early. Dont worry she's perfectly healthy. Lana is just over 1 year old and still looks a bit younger which is a adorable!! I looked after Lana and it was so much fun, she didn't really like the playground equipment but loved pointing to the birds, dogs and anything else interesting. I cant wait to see Lana again and maybe she'll have another go at the playground...

Ngamuwahine Camp!

Last week Room 29 and 30 went to Ngamuwahine camp. Heres a rundown on our schedule....

On Monday we made our beds and then went on a big 5 hour tramp. One thing I liked was the river, one thing I didn't like was Tyler breaking his arm.

On Tuesday we had a really laid back day. We did leaf rubbing and knot tying. One thing I liked was the knot tying, one thing I didn't like was the leaf rubbing.

On Wednesday we got stuck into the activities I did, orienteering then rafting after that was abseiling then finally the rock wall. I liked abseiling the best and rafting the least as I got heaps of cuts and bruise's from it.

On Thursday we did the other activities that we didn't do on Wednesday. First we did archery then low ropes after that was kayaking and last was mountain biking. I liked low ropes the best out of those activities and archery the least.

On Friday we packed up and did Clash of the Camps. This is when all of the activity groups do a relay. We came second but that was fine because we got 1st overall out of the two activity days with 75 points out of 80 the group that came second was around 10 points behind us.

Ngamuwahine was really fun and I cant wait for paintball next year!! Watch out Miss M...

In Time, Movie Review

Last night I watched the movie, In Time. It is the year 2169 and humanity had been genetically engineered to be born with a digital clock, bearing a year's worth of time, on their forearm. At the age of 25 a person stops ageing  but their clock begins counting down; when it reaches zero, that person "times out" and dies. The main character is Will Salas, played by Justin Timberlake. Will is a 28 year old factory worker who lives with his Mother, Rachel who is played by Olivia Wilde. If you want to watch this movie you have to concentrate really hard otherwise you'll miss some important information. I really consider you watch In Time. It is an awesome movie with amazing actors including, Amanda Seyfried. Hint, hint.

Fun Weekend with the Bestie

On Saturday I went to my best friend Sian's house for a sleepover. Her house was so awesome, just like her. We made movies, jumped on the tramp, watched movies, went on YouTube, walked the dogs, played HEAPS AND HEAPS of board games and heaps more. I had an awesome time at Sian's place and I would go back there in a heartbeat.

Fun with my little bro...

Today I had some fun with my 6 year old brother, Leo. He was being crazy while I was quite confused! I though it was so funny I just had to put it on my blog! WebCam Toy is really funny and a great way to pass time.

My Brother being a bird.

Amoooozing Experience

Yesterday my Dad, Sister and I went to the farm. Claire and I fed the lambs while my Dad helped milk the cows. We ended up staying there for quite a while and towards 6:00pm Claire and I wanted a ride on the farm two wheeler motorbike. It was super fun but when we got to the paddock we had to sprint because a cow had cast it's self. If you don't know what that means its when a cow falls onto it's side and can get back up. My Dad had to flip it over. It was really lucky we were there because there would have been one less cow and it doesn't take long especially because she was on a small hill. The amazing thing was that the cow was having a baby and the legs and nose of the calf were sticking out!! This was a crazy but weird experince. But thats just a days work for a farmer

The cows surrounded us!

This is the cow that had cast its self and was having the baby.
